The San Diego Parks Foundation is working with the Linda Vista Recreation Advisory Group and other local community groups to improve and revitalize the Linda Vista Community Park.

The Linda Vista Community Park has a recreation center that was built in 1960, a skate park built in 2018, and deteriorating play structure, ball fields, and tennis and basketball courts

For years, the local community wanted a skate park, and in2013,a group of concerned citizens began a signature campaign to advocate for a new park. With the help of skaters, skateboard professionals, and the community, the funding and design of the park was approved. The construction began August 2016 with the grand opening on January 16, 2018.

Since the addition of the skate park, the Linda Vista Community Park has been a center of activity. The park is always filled with youth and families. Now, the San Diego Parks Foundation is hoping to make the rest of the park has vibrant as the skateparkand the local community.
