J/R Mendoza

Founder/CEO at Mendoza & Co. Media labs; Adjunct Professor

J/R has a diverse business background in commercializing products across many sectors, with a focus on technology. She started her career in traditional broadcast advertising and transitioned into the digital space in 2008, working for renowned organizations like BBDO, Disney, A+E Networks, Hearst Digital, and more. In 2020, Mendoza graduated from USC with an integrated Master of Science in Business, Technology, and Design Thinking and is an adjunct professor at her alma mater.

Currently, J/R leads the EVOTEK Giving Foundation, which develops programs to support underrepresented communities to pursue career paths in technology. J/R also leads efforts with EVOTEK's status as a Minority Business Enterprise, working with Fortune 500 companies to educate on the value of diversity and how to implement actionable programs.

On a personal note, J/R is an avid advocate for foster youth. She is a mother of two and a former foster parent who adopted her son through her fostering experience.
