Joel Katz serves as Vice President of Community Impact at San Diego FC, where he leads efforts to harness the power of football (soccer) as a force for positive change. Drawing on experience with professional sports teams, non-profits, and cross-sector partnerships, Joel focuses on expanding youth access to the game, educating coaches, activating play spaces, and developing programs that reflect the needs and values of the San Diego region. Prior to joining SDFC, Joel led community, fundraising, and program initiatives with leading nonprofits and sports organizations nationwide, creating safe play spaces, advancing youth development, and building partnerships that strengthen connections between organizations and their communities.
